having a small problem viewing gallery pictures

this has happened to me occasionally before but more-so now that im trying to make my own album. basically whats happening is that, say, a small amount of the picture will load, then the rest will appear as a flat grey colour. maybe the top 60 pixels or so of the image will load as normal, then the rest as a flat grey colour. once this happens it says its a normal picture, in other words i can treat it as if the picture was complete. reloading the page seems to make no difference as the grey bits will still be there in the same place.

EDIT: tried loading the same picture from the gallery in firefox this time (was using safari before) and it seemed to work properly. with one picture the bottom half didn't load at all, but refreshing the page seemed to fix the problem. not sure if its just a mac or safari problem, but i was just wondering if others had this same issue sometimes. trying to make a fairly substantial album here and it would all seem like a waste of time if no-one would be able to view any of the pictures.

Sounds like a bad connection, or possibly an aftershock of whatever server issues had brought the site down recently.

it was happening before that as well. but it didn't seem to happen when i swapped browsers, so it might just be a safari issue.

Quite possible. Even though, for all its flaws, I stick with the well-supported Internet Explorer, I know every browser has its own quirks. Some of which certainly could interfere with loading certain types of content. (And I don't mean in terms of being G-rated versus X-rated, I mean in terms of being text versus images versus video et cetera.)
